Topoint regards its employees as the most important asset and we are dedicated toward building a harmonious employee-employer relationship, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and basic labor principles and rights, and building a safe work environment to safeguard our employees’ health. We also have a comprehensive welfare system and training program to achieve the corporate vision of putting a smile on our employees’ faces.

As of the end of 2017, Topoint has a total of 369 employees (parent company only, and does not include local or overseas subsidiaries). Every employee, with the exception of 71 foreign employees on fixed-term work contracts, is a full-time staff. We also employed 3 individuals with physical or mental disabilities. Topoint has established a clear policy prohibiting child labor. We place great importance on employee diversity and culture, and provide a friendly, safe, and healthy work environment for our foreign staff.

  • Employee welfare

Topoint emphasizes respect and employee care and ensures that we meet the basic requirements of work safety, workplace happiness, and career building. Topoint has established an employee welfare committee on the basis of employee welfare regulations. We integrated various welfare measures to plan annual welfare activities, and dedicated towards providing our employees with comprehensive welfare packages (including multiple insurance policies, annual health examinations, employee bonus sharing schemes, bonus programs, and annual events). These measures are regularly reviewed and improved upon every year.

Diverse welfare programs

Insurance plan Combined group insurance, comprising life insurance, accident insurance, and cancer insurance. Business travel safety insurance was added since 2016.
Health examination Employee health examination and special health examination programs for managerial officers are provided on a regular basis every year.

  • Employee health management

A positive and happy corporation is obliged to create a healthy workplace and maintain the physical well-being of employees. Topoint actively implement measures that prevent various illnesses and occupational diseases, such as employee orientation training, regular on-job training (OJT), and periodic e-mail notices to achieve such purposes. We also provide services such as healthcare, health seminars, and employee advisory sessions as part of our health promoting activities.

Results of safety and health promotion

Topoint implemented the AED Safe Areas and healthy workplaces certification programs in 2016. We promoted first-aid training and healthcare management to ensure that our employees are able to achieve effective personal health protection and to build a safe work environment.

In 2017, Topoint initiated numerous health promotion programs encouraging employees to incorporate exercises as regular routines or daily habit, activities such as Morning Stretch-out, Core Muscle Training, and Yuga classes were in-placed. We successfully elevated health awareness of employees, and was granted the Badge of Accredited Healthy Workplace.

Professional training and development

Topoint established the Topoint Academy in 2011. In addition to professional and general knowledge training courses, we also promoted elite training programs for supervisors at every level. To date, 7 training cohorts for basic, intermediate, and upper supervisor courses were organized. Employees completing the training will undergo a combined assessment and then assigned to various departments and satisfy managerial HR requirements necessary for corporate development. In 2017, total education and training hours for Topoint employees reached 11,251 hours. Each employee received an average of 30.3 training hours.

Occupational safety

To ensure proper implementation of the Topoint occupational safety and health (OSH) policy, we have established a systematic management system, ensured compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Assessment System specification OHSAS 18001 and Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Management System (TOSMS), organized training, and improved our work areas and environments. We actively pursued various management programs to achieve our goal of zero occupational safety incident. In 2017, the overall occupational injury rate was 1.70, which was an impressive 42% decrease compared to the previous year.
